SHABAB "Proclaim! (or Read!). In the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created- " (Sura 96:1).Shabab is the most popular Islamic weekly in Malayalam. But, the pain and sweat behind the prestigious position is unexplainable. The early revivalist leaders strived very difficult even to release every issue. It was the unsuppressed breath of Islamic renaissance and the the miracle of earlier Islamic publications lighted the way to go ahead with a Islamic publication. The only divergence is on whether it should be a monthly or a fortnightly. As "Al-Manar" was already been placed as a monthly, the fate of SHABAB was written as a fortnightly as was suggested by K.V. Moosa Sullami. Though hesitated to take the position, Cheriyamundam Abdurazak was hoisted as the first Editor cum Publisher of SHABAB. Thus the FIRST ISSUE OF SHABAB was officially inaugurated by giving a copy to A.V Abdurahiman Haji by Sheik Mohamed Moulavi.. Calicut Corpotation Town Hall witnessed the historic function on January 1975.
It was very difficult to pull on with shabab. Finance was the main problem. Shabab was circumscribed by problems like no office, insufficient staff etc. But it got heavy valuable matters to publish. By the grace of Allah, it climbed very slowly and there were immense personalities who had contributed money and money's worth, time and energy, brain and birth, kind and cash for the present status of SHABAB.
Due to health problems, Cheriyamudam Abdurazak Moulavi had to retire for rest. Under the elegant leadership of K.P.Mohamed Moulavi and who was the most important well wisher of SHABAB ,Moosa Vanimel took over the charge of SHABAB. After him Mayin Master (popularly known as E.K.M Pannoor) took the charge. He revolutionized Shabab by incorporating articles of different tastes for different readers. The circulation was increased. By this time the number of Mujahid offspring increased by heaps and leaps. This is also one of reasons for better circulation. Number of pages was increased from 8 to 12 pages in 1984. In the regime of T.P Abdulla Koya Madani and Kunhu Mohamed Parapoor respectively as the president and secretary of ISM, from January 1985 SHABAB has become WEEKLY.
In the meantime, in 1989, Cheriyamundam Abdul Hameed Madani was placed in the position of Chief Editor of SHABAB as he was relieved from Government service. The editorial board was shuffled with M.M Akbar, P.Mohamed Kuttasseri, Abdul Jabbar Trippanachi. Cheriyamundam and Aboobacker Karakunnu are the present chieftain's of SHABAB.

YUVATHA (YBH)

Daawath works will become in vain until and unless it is backed up by proper education. Books are the most important resources of education. The indispensable truth is assumed by the ISLAHI movement of Kerala. The movement have created very appealing acceptability among Malayalies. But the start was very simple and humble. KNM had only a bunch of books like pieces of Qur'an translation of Amani Moulavi and some Souvenir copies of Pulikkal and Feroke conferences. It was decided to publish 14 books at the Mujahid conference at Kuttippuram in 1987. Not only the ordinary woker but also some of the esteemed leaders even astonished by this himalayan proposal. But the warriors of islahi youth took it as a challenge and they knocked each and every door of chastity and faith. ISM had 500 units and it was decided to take 10 members from each unit. But the expectation was also in vain. ISM couldn't collect enough money. Eventually, ISM decided to issue shares , but it was not on the basis of profit sharing. ISM decided to issue books to the shareholders worth of share at the Kuttippuram KNM conference. By the grace of Allah, the venture became a very great success and which gave birth to deep rooted and spontaneous tree, that is, "YUVATHA BOOK HOUSE".
During the course of its flow, "YUVATHA" (the name may be a coincidence, by the fate of God, with the meaning of SHABAB) YUVATHA published 159 titles books of which some are born to be classical. YUVATHA concentrated not only on Islamic books but on all varieties of different tastes. From Islamic jurisprudence to economic theory. From critic to history to biography to nursery rhythms etc...etc...... The five volumes of ISLAM (three are published) is known to be unique in its kind and one of the notable contributions that has been ever by any Islamic organization. The Qur'an translation in Malayalam by Cheriyamundam Abdul Hameed Madani and Kunhi Mohamed Parappoor is one of the best translations in Malayalam.
PUDAVA
During 1989 Mujahid Conference was held at Kuttippuram. The decision to form an organization for Mujahid girls was taken at this conference. On the eve of this it was highly appealed to start a publication exclusively for women. It was decided to have immediate effect so that the declaration of a live publication "PUDAVA" was brought from Ishaq Ali and thus the very name "PUDAVA" was retained. M G M president Prof C.Habeeba was placed with the charge of Editor. The first issue was released in January 1991 by the well known Malayalam writer P.Valsala .
MARKAZUDA'WA is the capital of Mujahid youth, Ithihadu Shubbanil Mujahideen ( I S M). This three storied building situated at Kandam Kulam road Calicut. It was inaugurated by Syed Hamid Sahib, the then vice chancellor of Aligrah Muslim University, on November 23rd 1994. The Mujahid youths were in search of a well placed location for the capital. The firm determination and the grace of Allah helped them to materialize the dream. The decision was also very imperative as it was decided to shift the I S M press from Arecode. The efforts of Prof. Hussain Madavoor, the then I S M president, to materialize the hope is beyond appreciation. He submitted the plan and estimate of MARKAZU to Sheik Khalifa Rabban of Qatar. The project got approval and Sheik consented his help. But the financial aid was extended to the building construction only. I S M had to purchase a land for the construction. Knocking at each and every door of help, eventually, it succeeded to get a piece of land . All ISM members contributed two days remuneration for acquiring the land and for completion of the construction.Now MARKAZUDA'WA is able to accommodate offices of KJU, KNM, I S M, MSM, MGM, THE TRUTH -centre for divine education-,ATHOUHEED MONTHLY, SHABAB WEEKLY, PUDAVA FAMILY MAGAZINE, YUVATHA BOOK HOUSE, ISM MEDICAL AID CENTRE, UNITY FAMILY CELL, ISM GULF CELL, DAYA ORPHEN CARE, MINI AUDITORIUM, D T P TRAINING CENTRE (Microprint)and HOSTEL.
It is the center of ACADEMY FOR ISLAMIC STUDIES AND RESEARCH CENTER, QUR'AN LEARNING SCHOOL, SOCIETY FOR SOCIAL WELFARE.

"Those who rehearse the Book of Allah, establish regular Prayer. And send (In Charity) out of what we have provided for them, secretly and opently, Hope for a commerce that will never fail" ( Surath Fwathir : 29).

The skins of those who fear their Lord tremble thereat, then their skins. And their hearts do soften to the celebration of Allah's praises, such is the guidance of Allah, He guides therewith whom He pleases, but such as Allah leaves to stray, can have none to guide." (Surah 39: Al Zumar :23).

Learning Qura'n and its propagation is the liability of every Muslim. The deviation of Muslims from the right path of Islam is due to the departure of Muslims from the Qura'n. Conducting Qura'n classes were the practice of I S M. But, actually it was confined only to Islahi brothers. Therefore, I S M Chalked out a program to introduce Qura'n to the masses by breaching the boundaries of sector. The syllabai is very lucid and transparant. Therefore, it is easy to follow even for an illiterate in Qura'n. Its boudaries spread by leaps and now I S M has hundreds of Qura'n learning cneters and thousands of students through out the world. Very effective Qura'n learning centers are functioned in al most all Gulf countries under the Islahi Centers. The activities are being controlled by K.K Mohamed Sullami.
